The beauty of living is in the candid moments
that are waiting to be captured.
Capturing the moments in life, while exploring the world
I’m Krista, born and raised in Finland, but since September 2024 I’ve lived in North Vancouver, BC, together with my husband. Moving to Canada was our dream since our honeymoon in 2018, when we explored Ottawa and Toronto, and I’m grateful that now, after 6 years our dream finally came true.
Where it all started
My passion for exploring the world started all the way back in the 2008, when I went to my first solo trip, but still a group trip, to California. I was a shy 15 year old, who just really wanted to escape her small hometown and live life in the center of the city of dreams. Lucky for me, my parents wanted to provide me the experience and I’ll be always grateful for that- those memories will stay with me until the day of my last breath.
And there we have the beauty of exploration. All those little moments and memories, that shape you and make you - you. To me traveling isn’t only about exploring new places, it’s about meeting new people and capturing the moments, that I want to remember after the moment has already passed.
My photography journey
Whereas my passion for traveling started already in my teenage years,
my love for photography and capturing the candid moments with a professional camera took a little bit of more time. To be honest, it was the moment when I hit the famous crisis of turning 30. I wanted to learn a new skill, which would also allow me to tell stories while capturing the world.
And here we are now - capturing the world and sharing my journey with you. For now I’ve mainly specialized in travel photography, but back in Finland I captured some weddings and portraits. What comes to my photography goals, my goal is to lean more towards portraits - also for couples and families.
Therefore if you are looking for a person, who is down to earth, sees beauty in little things, loves to tell stories through pictures and can also advise you how to pose - reach out! I understand how scary it can be to be in front of the camera, but no worries - I’m here to help and guide you.
