Capturing the first snow in Vancouver

North Vancouver February 2025

With February arrived the first snow.

Over one night, world had turned into a real life winter wonderland. Snowflakes fluttered calmly down to the ground, covering the last tip of the lush green grass. Only people around were the ones either with overly excited dogs, or children, whose laugh could be heard far away as they were sliding down with their sleds. Even adults have turned into kids; during my slow walk outdoors I could spot more adults than children building up snowmen.

I’ve heard a legend that people in Vancouver are allergic to winter tires and empty roads might be the evidence of that being at least partly true. But let’s allow the photos to speak for themselves. Here by I represent to you - (North) Vancouver and the first day of snow, February 2nd, 2025.

Have you had many winter days? Or how is the winter in the place you live at?

I hope you all are having amazing week - I’m currently getting ready for my pop-up Valentine’s Day Photoshoot in our apartment building which I’m super excited about! I love everything sweet and cute, so I have a slight feeling that I’m going way overboard with the photo props. :D More about that photoshoot later, can not wait to show you how the pictures turned out to be! Hopefully meeting many new people during that pop-up.

Until next time,
Krista
