Hey there and welcome to my blog. Nice that you ended up here, browsing my website! :)

I'm trying to find some fancy way to start this post, but to be truly honest, my mind is completely blank! What a wonderful start, am I right?

Well, in short my name is Krista, 30-year-old-something who was born and raised in Finland, but since September 2024 been living in Vancouver, Canada. If you want to read more about me and my background, click the "About"-link on the header - I'll leave the gossip about myself to the level of the name, age and location at this point. :D

As mentioned above, I moved to Vancouver in September 2024. Together with my husband we'd been dreaming of moving to Canada since 2018, when we traveled to Toronto and Ottawa as part of our honeymoon. And finally, six years later, our long-time dream came true and we landed to Vancouver on September 8th, 2024. Both of us are currently holding 3-year work visas - but who knows how long we'll actually be here.

The purpose of this blog is to share experiences and stories from all around the world while giving you an behind the scenes access to follow my photographing journey. I’ve been photographing more or less for two years now, but starting from 2025 I’m on my way to turning once a beloved hobby into a part-time job, while still working on my 9 to 5. Before moving to Canada I shot some events together with my husband and realized capturing moments in life is something I really enjoy doing - if you ask me, there is nothing more precious than browsing back to the moments, that made your heart beat a bit faster, laugh a little louder and left you feeling beloved.

The person you are now, might not be the one you are tomorrow - we change, people around us change and world keeps spinning. But photos last the lifetime, giving us an access to live the happy moments over and over again.

I hope that my stories inspire also you to hop into the unknown and explore the opportunities.

Because if you never try, you will never know what could’ve happen.
