Valentine’s Day photoshoot
February might not be my favourite month, but if there is something I ADORE it’s Valentine’s Day. All of the pink hearts that cover up the store windows, little signs & chocolate boxes saying ‘my love’ and other cheesy quotes just have a special place in my heart. And I’m not even a romantic person, believe it or not. I just enjoy all of the special days that have some over the top decorations, such as Valentine’s Day and well - Halloween.
Fun fact to all of my non-Finnish readers; in Finland, Valentine’s Day isn’t actually day for lovers, it’s more for friends! If you translate Valentine’s Day into Finnish it would translate to “Ystävänpäivä”, meaning more of a “Day of Friends”. Therefore I’m used to celebrating Valentine’s Day with my friends, of course also including my husband as he is also one of my best friends. :-)
This year Valentine’s Day was even more special, as I hosted a Valentine’s Day Photoshoot (just for fun). Pop-up only lasted for 2 hours, but it was super fun - thank you everyone who showed up and came to capture your day with your own Valentine’s. Some of the photos were taken outdoors to get the gorgeous mountain view in the background, and for some of the photos we used backdrop.
By the way, creating the backdrop had few drawbacks - I had purchased these extremely cute, silver heart strings, but some of them got absolutely tangled and I ended up having less strings than was supposed to. But well, things happen and life goes on. Like I said the photoshoot was just for fun, to make people’s day even sweeter and I’m just happy, that all of the photos turned out to be so cute. :)
We also had some families, but as I prefer not to post children face to the internet, those photos will stay in their own family folders. :-) But all in all Valentine’s Day was so fun and I enjoyed every minute!
How was your Valentine’s Day?
Until next time,
x Krista
