Capturing those small, special moments in life, while exploring the world one step at a time.
February might not be my favourite month, but if there is something I ADORE itβs Valentineβs Day. All of the pink hearts that cover up the store windows, little signs & chocolate boxes saying βmy loveβ and other cheesy quotes just have a special place in my heart. And Iβm not even a romantic person!
Before we get started, I want to acknowledge that the title of this post is the most random ever. Like portraits and flash photography work well together, but meatballsβ¦??? Well, letβs just say that the first two would not have existed without the meatballs. Iβll explain this shortly donβt you worry.
Over one night, world had turned into a real life winter wonderland. Snowflakes fluttered calmly down to the ground, covering the last tip of the lush green grass. Only people around were the ones either with overly excited dogs, or children, whose laugh could be heard far away as they were sliding down with their sleds.
Before moving to Vancouver I was really expecting even a little bit colder winter days, and not as many sunny/warm ones as weβve had during this month. If December was grey and gloomy, has January been filled with rays of sunshine and sweating under the winter clothes, which Iβve been wearing for one reason only; itβs winter.
During winter, life in Vancouver may feel like being stuck in a rainy, grey painting. Yes, snowy top mountains may occasionally cheer you up by saying hello behind the moody clouds, but most likely youβll be finding yourself walking in the rain, pulling the hood tighter over your head.
Few posts back I shared my experience exploring Canyon Lights in Capilano Suspension Bridge Park during the evening, but today Iβm here to share a few pictures what the place looked like in the day time!
Looking for a hike in North Vancouver that takes less than 2 hours and dreaming of having a cup of delicious coffee afterwards? Well look no more! The hike you are looking for might be the one that takes you up to the Quarry Rock.
What would be a more refreshing way to start the new year than dipping yourself into the freezing waters of Pacific Ocean? Surrounded by gorgeous, mountain landscape?
Year 2024 was one of a kind. I got to travel, maybe even more than ever before - I explored the beautiful sceneries of New Zealand, ate the best food ever in Japan and dreamt of going back to South Korea after spending only one night in Seoul on the way to New Zealand. But even more, together with my husband, we did the biggest trip of our lifes when we packed our bags and moved to a completely different country

Iβm currently building up my portfolio and always looking for new photography possibilities.
The "Why" behind this website
From the photography-page you can find my portfolio, and from the blog you can read my adventures including living abroad.
I hope no matter where you end up in this page, you leave feeling inspired.
xx Krista

Last weekend our small group of 4 went outdoors to enjoy beautiful sunny day, to experience Big Cedar and Kennedy Falls. To be honest we decided the hike on the same week - Vancouver & always changing weather forecast can sometimes make it a bit hard to make plans well in advance.
